Beading

A year ago or so I started to explore the world of beading and, although I haven't been awfully productive during this time, I have created a few earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings. Two of the bracelets actually ended up being my Christmas presents for my sister and my mother. They really liked them, so they said at least. I like giving handmade presents, it is more personal (and saves me from the pains of shopping).
Here is my latest creation. I'm proud of this not because it is the most difficult or prettiest one I have ever made but because it was made quite spontaneously. I just took the leftover beads from earlier projects and just started beading with what I had while watching an episode (OK maybe it was more than one) of The Borgias. This is the result (click to see full size):

As you can see it is still unfinished. I didn't have magnetic clasp and since that is the only kind of clasp I can imagine on a bracelet I rather left it like this than add a dolphin clasp or anything that I would replace later anyway. (In case you're wondering, the zig-zaggy part was made with even-count peyote stitch from seed beads. The crystal beads were added later, just to give it some colour and shine. )
